Sustainable Change

About Us

Lewis County Stabilization Project (LCSP) is a nonprofit helping adults and young adults rebuild stability after major life disruption. We serve individuals navigating housing instability, recovery transitions, justice-system involvement, and limited access to supportive resources.

We prioritize those facing the greatest barriers—including homelessness, incarceration history, trauma, disability, poverty, and long-term disconnection from services. LCSP is committed to equitable access for communities disproportionately impacted by these systems, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and others historically underserved.

Our work is non-clinical and partnership-driven, providing structured support, individualized stabilization planning, and weekly check-ins to strengthen pathways from recovery and reentry to stable living. Our goal is lasting stability built through dignity, accountability, and community connection.

In addition, LCSP supports long-term independence by connecting participants to workforce pathways that promote economic mobility. Through partnerships with local employers, workforce councils, unions, and training providers, we help individuals access pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, and high-wage career opportunities as part of a sustainable transition from crisis to stability.

As capacity allows, LCSP also advances diversion-first strategies for unaccompanied youth and young adults, including time-limited housing-related assistance and practical supports to prevent deeper system involvement and promote long-term independence

We are a community based “by-and-for” organization led by people with lived experience of incarceration, recovery, and housing instability.

Values

  • Dignity and Respect – Every person deserves to be treated with worth, compassion, and humanity, regardless of past circumstances.

  • Accountability and Growth – Lasting stability is built through personal investment, clear expectations, and supportive structure.

  • Equity and Access – We prioritize fair opportunity for those most impacted by homelessness, justice involvement, recovery disruption, and systemic barriers.

  • Community Partnership – Sustainable change happens through collaboration with housing providers, workforce pathways, and local networks of support.

  • Stabilization for Long-Term Independence – Our focus is not short-term fixes, but coordinated pathways toward lasting stability, belonging, and self-sufficiency.
